Tiny Planets exhibition 05-01-2023
As a photographer, one of my most exciting and challenging projects has been the creation of a photographic exhibition showcasing local follys as tiny planets. The project featured some of the most iconic local landmarks, including Hartshead Pike, Rivington Pike, Drawen Tower, and Peel Monument.
The tiny planet project involved capturing aerial photographs of each location using a drone. After taking the photographs, I used special software to stitch together the images to create a circular panorama that looked like a tiny planet. The resulting images were then printed and displayed as part of the exhibition.
The exhibition was a huge success, and the tiny planet images generated a lot of interest and attention from the local community. The project was featured in various local newspapers, online press releases, and magazines such as Real Rochdale.
One of the things that made the tiny planet project so special was the way it captured the unique beauty and character of each location. By presenting these iconic landmarks in a new and unusual way, the exhibition encouraged viewers to see them in a fresh light and appreciate their beauty in a whole new way.
Overall, the tiny planet exhibition was a great success, and I am proud to have been part of it. The project demonstrated how creative thinking and modern technology can be used to produce innovative and exciting work that captures the imagination of viewers and celebrates the beauty of the local environment.
